Delivery Policy
London School of Marketing limited, trading as "LS Online" and "LS Business School" provides professional education. When one decides to study with London School of Marketing, (from now on referred to as "LS") their application is vetted by LS’s Admissions Department. Upon acceptance on the applied course, the student will receive a password to their personalised E-Learning Platform, (ELP). The ELP contains comprehensive online tutor support services and may contain assignment work, access to the unique LS Online E Learning Platform with complete study materials including Lecture Notes, Case Studies, Practical Applications, Q & A's, E Articles, Mind Maps, Assessment Terminology, Real Industry Examples, Sample Past Assignments, Past Examinations & Answers, Jobs Database, Tutor Messaging Centre and Exam or Assignment Draft Feedback Services. The ELP also contains access to an e-library and a Keynote Market Research reports. The contents of the ELP may vary from the course of study that you have chosen.Terms and Conditions
Fees are exclusive of Professional Body Membership and examination/assignment fees. Please refer to the appropriate Professional Body for estimates of their current fees.
Students are responsible for ensuring that they are members of the appropriate examination body and that they have entered for the correct examinations/assignments by the deadline date set by the examination body and LS. LS accepts no liability for students missing registration deadlines.
LS accepts no liability for injury or accident, however caused, while attending an LS event. Delegates should take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of themselves and others when attending an LS event as laid down by the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).
LS accepts no liability for any loss or damage to personal property while attending an LS event.
In the event that a delegate's sponsor does not meet all or part of the fees payable the delegate will be responsible for meeting the balance of any fees due.
LS accepts no liability for inaccuracies or errors made by approved book publishers. Copyright of all study material supplied by LS Business Publishing during the course remains the property of LS.
All sales literature and website marketing material is for information only. Whilst every care will be taken to ensure its accuracy no liability can be accepted for errors or omissions.
Every care is taken to ensure the advice and education provided by LS consultants and staff is accurate, no liability can be accepted for any loss, damage or other expense incurred from such advice.
LS reserves the right to refuse any booking.
The above terms and conditions will be decided in accordance with English Law.
All enrolments from non UK/EU citizens currently residing outside of the UK, or from non UK/EU citizens residing in the UK where an extension to the applicant's visa is required in order to complete the course, are subject to a once off new student £200 registration fee. All enrolments from UK/EU citizens, and from non UK/EU citizens residing in the UK on a valid visa for the duration of the course, are subject to a £75 once off new student registration fee.
All students sponsored by their employers in the UK must ensure that the employer's authorisation section of the online application form is completed in full. It remains the responsibility of the student to secure such a sponsorship before completing the application form. In the event that the employer subsequently withdraw their Sponsorship of a student, the student will then become liable to settle the respective fees.
All enrolments from UK/EU citizens, including applications from non UK/EU citizens currently residing in the UK on a valid visa for the duration of the course, must be accompanied by the full course fee, unless sponsored by UK registered organisations.
All enrolments from non UK/EU citizens, requiring a visa, or an extension to an existing visa to study on an LS course, must be accompanied by the full course fees, paid by bankers draft, cash, debit/credit card or bank transfer only.
All non UK/EU citizens residing in the UK, must provide a copy of their passport and visa upon enrolment.
Course fees are payable in full before the commencement of the course. Any fees outstanding after the commencement of the course will be subject to an additional 8% charge.
Course fees are non-refundable in all circumstances.
LS may consider applications for refund under extenuating circumstances. All such applications must be made to the Group Academic Manager with the supporting evidences. If approved, all refunds are subject a £300.00 non refundable fee and any bank charges. Please allow minimum 6 weeks to consider your refund application.
The school must be informed in writing of withdrawal from the course or non-attendance of the course.
There will be no refund of course fees after acceptance onto the course. Students who enrol after the start date of the course must pay the course fees in full. An administration fee of £40 will charged for dishonoured cheques and non-payment of standing orders.
The school reserves the right to inform the professional body for non-payment of tuition fees.
Additional terms and conditions may apply where the student uses the school's approved agent.
Students must make every effort to attend the full lecture programme and where they will be absent they must make every effort to notify the school. The school reserves the right to remove students from a programme for matters of gross misconduct.
The school reserves the right to change the lecturers, dates and venues at any time.
Withdrawal from your course:
1) Request for withdrawal from your chosen study programme (after LS have accepted you) will only be considered under exceptional circumstances.
2) All such requests must be made in writing to the Group Academic Manager with the accompanying evidences i.e. medical notes, etc.
3) In most cases, LS will not entertain requests for withdrawal; a) If you have already been granted a student visa; b) If the request is made after the course start date or within two weeks of the course start date.
4) All such requests must first be formally approved by the LS's Academic Council.
5) If your request is approved, LS will deduct fees to compensate any losses that have been incurred as results of your withdrawal, such loss of a classroom place, etc.
6) Please allow minimum 12 weeks to consider your request to withdraw.
Application processing:
1) LS aims to process all completed applications within 72 hours from the submission.
2) This may take longer if we are waiting for your funds to clear. For example, International bank transfers can take up to 10 working days to clear.
3) LS will send all admission documents electronically via e mail. If you require hard copies of admission documents, please inform LS's admissions team in advance. LS will use standard Royal Mail when sending letters and if you require us to courier your letters, we may ask you to cover such expenses.
4) You are strongly advised to arrange medical and cancellation/curtailment insurance before you travel to the UK if you are an international student attending a full-time course.
Course and attendance:
1) LS is closed during UK public holidays and there is no reduction in fees for these days.
2) You are responsible to make provisions for any additional costs such as cost of course books, photocopying, etc. as well as your living costs.
3) LS follows a 90% attendance policy for full-time international students and students that have failed to adhere to this policy will be removed from the College. In such cases, LS will notify relevant authorities and those students are not eligible for a refund of fees.
4) LS reserves the right to change class times, lecturers and venues. In most cases, LS will notify students at least 24 hours in advance.
5) There are no compensations available for cancelled classes or travelling expenses to a different study location. However, LS will make every effort to inform students in advance to avoid such expenses.
6) If your study programme consists of more than one stage, the progression of the next stage depends on the successful completion of the previous stage.
7) If you are unable to complete your course of study as a result of "referrals" you may be subject to an extension fee.
8) In some cases, LS (in partnership of the respective awarding body) may change the course curriculum. Students will be notified of such changes in advance where possible.
9) LS reserves the right to expel any full-time international student that fails to continue their membership with the respective awarding body. Therefore, your admission with the College is subject to the continuation of the membership and the respective terms and conditions imposed by the awarding body.
Progression to another Higher Educational Institution:
1) LS works in partnership with several British Universities where LS graduates can progress with advanced standing and complete a degree course.
2) These progression arrangements are subject to the terms and conditions of the University and may vary from time to time.
3) Non UK/EU students may require changing their "Tier 4 Sponsor" when progression in such arrangements and any relevant cost will remain the responsibility of the student.
4) As such, LS is only responsible for the delivery of the study programme at the College and not the progression arrangements.
To the best of our knowledge all information is correct at the time of going to press. This policy comes into effect on 18th of February 2010. The school reserves the right to amend its policy from time to time.
