Su Kariyawasam has extensive experience in lecturing and prior to joining the LS Academic team she lectured Marketing, Strategic Management, Agri-business Management and Financial Management.  As well as lecturing, Su is also a market research specialist having contributed to many research publications in several reputed journals in the areas of management and consumer behaviour. Her research findings have been presented in international symposiums such as The Canadian Agricultural Economics Society’s Annual Meeting at Montreal, Canada and several similar forums.

In addition to a Professional Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing from CIM, Su also holds an Honors Degree in Science. She is currently pursuing her MBA, specializing in Financial Management, while concurrently reading for her Doctorate specializing in Agri-business Management in terms of food safety measures and their economics in the Agri – food processing sector.

In 2009, Su supervised and tutored over 500 students achieving an impressive student pass rate of more than 82%. She currently heads LS's ‘management’ pillar and manages a team of four academics. Su has been commended by LS students for being encouraging and friendly.
