Shanake has over 10 years of managerial experience with renowned companies such as IBM, Aman Resorts and prestigious institutions such as NatWest and Thames Valley University in London before joining LSM. He has experience in National level curriculum design and has conducted train the trainer programmes as well.

His multi-disciplinary experience includes IT, Human Resources, Hotel Management, Banking and Administration.

Shanake holds a Masters Degree and a Post Graduate Diploma with Merit from the Thames Valley University of London.  A Post-graduate Diploma in Human Resources Development (1^st Class) from the Indian Institute of Management and Technology and an intermediate certificate in Practical Data Processing (1^st Class) from the City & Guilds of London has enriched his ability to guide students on a wide spectrum of disciplines. Shanake holds a Bachelors Degree in Management Information Systems from the Northwest University and currently reading for his Master of Business Studies degree at the University of Colombo.
