Andrea Davids

Profile

Andrea's professional experience spans more than a decade with positions in both the public and private sectors. She began her career in 2001 where she managed both the membership and marketing departments at Habitot Children's Museum, a San Francisco Bay Area based charity. During her four-year tenure she was responsible for the organisation's strategic planning, brand development, member acquisition and retention, and public relations. Her next post was as the Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications at Net Impact, one of the most influential networks of professionals and students in existence today. While there she established and led all of the charity's international marketing and communications efforts. In 2007 she moved to France to pursue a postgraduate education in communications, working with organisations such as UNESCO in Paris and L'Union Fes in Morocco during her studies. She currently acts as a communications and design consultant for charities and small businesses in the Europe, the UK and the USA.

In addition to her professional posts, Andrea has taken an active role in her community. She has sat on the Downtown Berkeley Promotion Committee, has been a board member for the Young Women Social Entrepreneurs in San Francisco and has donated her expertise to various charitable event committees. She currently acts as a strategic consultant for Bright One, a volunteer-run communications agency for the third sector.

Andrea holds a BA in Mass Communications from the University of California at Berkeley and an MA in Global Communications from The American University of Paris. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Media and Communications at Goldsmiths, University of London.
