Understanding the Creative Brief - Foundation Level Course

  1. WHO SHOULD ATTEND

New and aspiring marketers, designers, writers, art directors, account managers, and brand managers responsible for communicating with target audiences, working with creatives,  developing concepts, and/or managing customer relationships, and also those who:

  • Are relatively new to marketing or have moved into a new marketing role
  • Have studied marketing or other related disciplines and wish to look at more creative approaches
  • Currently work within, or are interested in working within, the creative department of an agency or  working directly with creatives
  • Short Course Fee £369 (£442.80 including VAT)

A creative brief is the first and most important step towards a successful communications campaign. Written by the client, from which an advertising campaign is to be conceptualised and developed, unlocking the creative brief is something every marketing professional must do. In this course, students will collaborate as a team to write a creative brief and produce concepts for a creative campaign.

Marcie MacLellan

Marcie MacLellan is a senior marketer with over 12 years experience.  She is the founder of a niche advertising agency based in Canada and the UK, and counts world-recognised brands such as Coke, Sony and Intel among its clientele. She has published over 300 business articles, has been a scriptwriter and producer for films airing in the UK, the US and Canada and has contributed to the books ‘Whole-Being Retail Branding’ and ‘What Canadians Think.’ A lecturer since 2001, she has also led corporate workshops for a wide range of professional organisations. She holds an MA in Screenwriting and Production, and a BA in Journalism.
